Semalam selepas pick up isteri saya dari kerja, kami terus ke kedai makan untuk makan malam. sampai di sana, saya nampak ayam golek di luar restoran. Jadi saya mengambil keputusan untuk beli ayam golek tersebut untuk di makan di restoran tu. Kami order nasi kosong, sup tomyam, sambal belacan dan air untuk dimakan bersama ayam golek tadi.

Yang membuatkan saya menjadi lagi sedih apabila anaknya bertanyakan sesuatu kepada ayahnya sebelum mengambil order, lalu mengangguk paham dan kemudian ayahnya pula bertanya kepada pelayan tersebut, “Bang, nasi goreng kampung berapa 1 pinggan?” Kemudian waiter tu pun bergegas ke bahagian kaunter sambil menjerit, “Kak! nasi goreng kampung berapa dah satu?” “Tiga ringgit!” akak tu menyahut.
Berdetup sekejap jantung saya melihat suasana tersebut. Melihatkan sorang ayah yang mahu memberikan anaknya makan setelah mereka penat bekerja seharian di luar (dari pengamatan saya, mereka ni bukan orang yang bekerja tetap, sebaliknya seperti yang bekerja menjadi suruhan orang yang mengambil upah harian).
Rasa sedih, pilu dan saya sekejap hati saya. Lantas kami beredar dari restoran tersebut… Tetapi di dalam kereta fikiran saya masih berlegar-legar dan berasa bersalah. “Kenapa tidak kuhulurkan sekeping 2 note RM10 diberikan kepada kaunter untuk membayar makanan mereka tadi? Aiseh…”
